**Position Summary**

The Electronic Instrument Trades Worker (Special Class) is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of advanced electronic instrumentation and control systems. The role involves ensuring the functionality and reliability of equipment to meet operational requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and performance standards.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Installation and Commissioning**:

- Install, configure, and commission electronic instrumentation systems, including process control equipment and industrial automation systems.
- Ensure systems meet specifications and operational standards.
- **Maintenance and Repair**:

- Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance of the Laser CNC machine, Yaweii bending equipment, and the Powder Coating line.
- Diagnose and repair faults in electronic systems, including complex circuitry, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- **Calibration and Testing**:

- Calibrate electronic instruments to maintain precision and accuracy.
- examining and testing machines, equipment, instruments, and control systems to diagnose faults.
- **Upgrades and Modifications**:

- Implement system upgrades or modifications to meet evolving operational needs.
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams to design and implement improvements.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations.
- Maintain documentation and records in compliance with quality management systems.
- Creates Standard Operating Procedures about the equipment and systems being used, Laser system, Bending equipment, Powder Coating Lines, Ostendo, Solidworks, etc**.**:

- **Technical Support and Troubleshooting**:

- Troubleshoot complex system issues and recommend effective solutions.
- **Training and Development**:

- Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff and apprentices.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated with emerging technologies.

**Key Skills and Competencies**
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electronic and control systems.
- Strong understanding of Solidworks, Ostendo, PLC’s
- Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Attention to detail and precision in calibration and testing.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Certificate III or IV in Electrotechnology, Instrumentation, or equivalent trade qualification.
- Special Class Trades Certificate (highly regarded).
- Significant experience in electronic instrumentation and control systems within an industrial environment.
- Experience with advanced fault-finding and system integration.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and electrical standards.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
