Since 1972 The Mitolo Group has been growing and packaging potatoes and onions for sale in major Australian supermarket chains and produce markets nationally. We also supply our produce to the international market. We are a dynamic and progressive company committed to producing high quality products through the implementation of continuous improvement strategies and new innovated processes.

We are recruiting for a permanent Maintenance Fitter to work within an experienced Maintenance Team performing repairs and preventative maintenance to our packing lines to ensure the efficient running of production. You will also perform tasks relating to continuous improvement projects.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager you will have
- the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- relevant trade qualifications
- good fabrication skills (MIG,TIG and STICK)
- hydraulics /pneumatic qualifications or experience
- familiarity with recording data on MEX or equivalent computer aided programs
- an understanding of Lean Principles
- the ability to work under strict WHS guidelines
- the ability to trouble shoot and work proactively as part of a team
- sound experience in fault finding and fast breakdown response
- the ability to communicate on all levels
- the ability to work well in a team environment and be self-motivated
- access to reliable transport

Desirable
- experience in a fresh food produce environment or similar
- a restricted electrical disconnect / reconnect license will be highly regarded but not essential
- forklift license

To become part of the team you will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate on all levels, be self-motivated and work well within a team. You will also have the ability to make timely decisions and have excellent organisation and time management skills.
