**The Role**

The position requires experience in the provision of certification and/or accreditation of protective security zones for initial construction or modification of existing facilities. Experience with Zone 5 areas is desirable. The incumbent will be required to;
- Guide stakeholders through Zone 5 certification and accreditation for fixed and deployable SAP facilities (SAPF) through the provision of protective security advice to support the implementation of security policies, practices and procedures fostering a risk aware positive security culture.
- Undertake physical inspections of areas being constructed for SAPF accreditation.
- Provide recommendation to Accrediting official on SAPF accreditation assessing compliance and risk.

SAP Branch within Force Integration Division is responsible for managing Defences SAP policy. As part of the Security Compliance Directorate, you will work in a joint supportive environment that is outcomes focused and provides technically complex and challenging opportunities. The team is responsible for SAP facility accreditation, compliance inspections and SAP Information system authorisation. You will share your expertise with others and guide and mentor less experienced colleagues. You will be able to provide sound and relevant security advice that is compliant with policy and risk aware. Be adept at working collaboratively within a team to influence protective security outcomes. Skilled at tailoring communication style and language according to the audience's level of knowledge, skill and experience to drive suitable outcomes. Strong written communications is also desirable for writing reports and presentations.
