Real Community Services are a dedicated team who provide direct support services, Allied health supports and living options for NDIS, TAC, NIISQ participants. Our mission is to empower individuals by offering personalised support and comprehensive services that enhance their quality of life and promote independence.

We are currently seeking experienced support workers to join our dedicated team at the Gold Coast to provide personal centred care to our participants.

As a Support worker for Real Community Services, you will be supporting people who have complex and challenging disabilities to live independently as well as achieving their goals and have a more valued role withing their community.

**About the Opportunity**

As the end of the year approaches, we are currently looking for a team of casual employees to cover staff leave over the Christmas period. This may lead to regular, ongoing work for the right fit.

We are looking for support workers who are reliable, warm, respectful and dedicated. We are looking for passionate support workers who can build a strong relationship with our participants.

In this role you will be assisting individuals with various disabilities, helping them prioritise tasks as well as foster a supportive environment, this will help promote their independence as well as their personal growth.

**Other responsibilities may include -**
- Provide individual support and direct care to the participant
- Supporting the participant in the community
- Assisting with domestic duties to create a comfortable environment
- Medication assistance
- Providing accurate and detailed incident reports, shift notes and shift handovers
- Maintaining client records

**To be considered for the position you must be available on all or either of the following days -**
- Saturday 3pm-8pm.
- Friday 07:30am-11:30am or 8:30am - 10:30am
- Monday 08:30am-10:30am

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Prior experience supporting clients’ various disabilities (essential)
- Must have a valid driver’s licence.
- Current Paid employee Blue Card
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance
- Current First Aid & CPR
- NDIS ‘Worker Orientation’ module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
