Driller

**Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Operation of **Drill rigs** to achieve production requirements.
- Set up of drill sites and manages controls during drilling operations.
- Manages inventory of plant, equipment and materials associated with drill rig operation.
- Maintains communication with Project Management regarding status of drilling activities and related delivery requirements.
- Records driller logs and other quality information as required.
- Daily inspections of plant and equipment including general daily maintenance of equipment.
- Manages and communicates risks associated with drilling operation.
- Log and record work completed.
- Assists delivering and receiving plant to and from project sites, including plant movements around project sites.
- Assist the sales process by providing technical information to customers.
- Lead, train, and mentor a small crew.

**Essential skills & qualifications**:

- Proven experience operating a water bore drill rig.
- Experience with class 1 and 2 drilling techniques and methods. Air and mud drilling endorsements.
- Valid class C licence essential, HR licence desirable.
- Construction industry White Card essential.
- Cert III in Drilling Operations highly desirable.
- The ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Highly motivated and the ability to work independently.

**Job Types**: Subcontract, Casual

Pay: $30.10 - $60.44 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
