**About the role**

As a Medical Imaging Assistant, you will be responsible for patient care prior to, during and after the procedure, in particular assisting in the MRI department.

This position is Full Time - 75 hours per fortnight working Monday to Friday. Hours of work can include early starts such as 6:30am, and include weekend shifts.

The majority of your work will be clinical with a small amount of administrative duties. Some of your many and varied duties will include:

- Confirming patient appointments & any pre-appointment instructions via telephone
- Retrieving outside imaging studies
- Preparing patients for procedures
- Assisting with the positioning of patients during procedures
- Assisting the technical staff member during clinical procedures, including cannulating patients
- Stock control
- Cleaning and housekeeping duties

- A willingness to train in IV Cannulation
- Outstanding communication and time management skills
- Computer literacy skills

- Physical fitness to perform a clinical focused hands-on role
- Although not essential, previous experience in a similar role and an active interest in Medical Imaging will be highly regarded._
