**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant within the Older Persons Mental Health Service.

The Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant will be responsible to the Nurse Unit Manager for the delivery of leisure recreational activities and one on one individualised programmes.

As a Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant you will be accountable to the Nurse Unit Manager for contributing to the development and implementation of lifestyle programmes which achieve positive outcomes.

The Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant is responsible for:

- Maximising the well-being of older people, their families and carers whose day to day lives are affected by mental illness or disorder.
- Implementing individually focused and group leisure and lifestyle programmes.
- Delivering, reviewing and documenting the needs and progress of all residents.
- Collaborating with families, visitors and other providers to support resident activities.

To be eligible for this position, you must possess or be currently undertaking Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
