At Orange sky we are on a mission to Positively Connect Communities and we do this by providing the world's-first free mobile laundry and shower service to people experiencing homelessness. We offer a platform for everyday Australians to connect by creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected from the community.
**The Role**
To fill a 12-month maternity leave contract, we are looking for a Philanthropy Coordinator to join the team. You will work within the Marketing, Fundraising and Partnerships team and be accountable for the delivery of objectives within the philanthropy space.
In particular you will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining positive and engaging relationships with existing and future supporters
- Deliver on revenue objectives within the philanthropic stream including individual philanthropists, trusts and foundations and family foundations
- Collaborating with the CEO to define strategy and accountabilities
- Ensuring OS follows best practice by implementing processes, systems and data collection
- Undertake administrative duties as required
- Support fellow fundraisers and team members through attending, speaking, and networking at relevant events to drive business development, brand awareness and understanding. Occasionally outside normal office hours
- Maintain comprehensive database records on the OS CRM system

The ideal applicant will have experience in a similar role within the not for profit sector.
Additionally, they will have;
- Thorough understanding of the principles of engagement and fundraising with demonstrated experience in designing and implementing scalable events and community fundraising strategies
- A track record of achieving performance and income targets through programmatic events and relationship-based sales / fundraising
- Experience in growing new relationships and working with stakeholders to achieve desired results
- Experience in the not-for-profit / fundraising sector with strong administration skills a significant advantage
