**Division Responsibilities**

Department’s financial management framework; coordinating the delivery of the Portfolio

Budget and MYEFO strategies; and preparing the Department’s key (PGPA) planning and

reporting documents. In addition, FMD oversees the portfolio regulatory framework,

coordinates deregulation activities; supports the Department’s grant administration and

engagement with the Streamlining Government Grants Administration program; and

manages the Department’s key transactional corporate services, along with property and

facilities management activities.

In practice, FMD is the steward of the Department’s financial, risk and performance

reporting environment, which collectively identifies and contributes to achieving Health

outcomes.

**Branch Responsibilities**

The Streamlining Grants Branch supports the Department to effectively implement and

manage grant arrangements in accordance with relevant legislation. In this process, the

Branch provides a coordination and support base for grant management across the

Department, ensuring consistency with whole of Government policies.

The Branch pursues continuous improvement and efficiencies in grant administration

through collaboration with policy divisions. It manages the relationship and grants work

program with the Community and Business Grants Hubs and the NHMRC.

The Branch is committed to improving the grant tools, processes, and systems to improve

customer experience while also working to continuously enhance the level of executive

confidence in grant program design and delivery.

**Section Responsibilities**

The Design, Assess, Select and Hub Relationship Section is responsible for:

- Grant Liaison for Design, Select, Assess and Establish stages of the grant’s lifecycle.
- Primary contact for all work with Community Grants Hub (DSS).
- Manage external interface for the departments grants with grant applicants,

recipients and other government granting agencies.
- Grants administration support, project planning, document management and record

keeping.***
