**Trainee Clinical Coder**

**About the Role**

Joondalup Health Campus is seeking a Trainee Clinical Coder to join their team in this Permanent Full-Time opportunity. You will be responsible for abstracting and assigning accurate diagnostic and procedure codes for all inpatient episodes; in accordance with The International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, 10th Revision, Australia Modification (ICD-10-AM), The Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI), Australian Coding Standards 12th Edition and Department of Health (DOH) Guidelines.

You will be supported by the onsite Clinical Coding Educator and work with highly regarded Clinical Coding Team.

**About You**

**_Essential_**
- Possession of a Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) Introductory Course or equivalent
- Previous Private or Public Hospital experience
- Effective analytical and reasoning skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and independently as required
- Sound computer literacy and skills within the Microsoft Office Suite

**_Desirable _**
- Hospital medical record or clinical coding experience.
- Experience using Meditech or any Patient Administration System (PAS)

**Requirements**:
Everyone who joins Ramsay:
