**THE ROLE**

You will provide authoritative, strategic and evidence-based advice and expertise to the department in relation to employee wellbeing and support. This will include leading and facilitating the implementation of appropriate and fit for purpose employee wellbeing and support services in support of the department's commitment to creating a safe and healthy workplace.

You will interface with and act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in relation to employee support services.

You will be required to represent the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team, the People and Culture branch and the department at inter-agency and state-wide forums, conferences, committees and relevant working groups. This role will require you to be passionate about making a difference in a diverse and exciting workplace.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Lead the wellbeing function across the DFFH profile. Effectively manage and provide leadership to direct reports by supporting individuals to achieve their potential and contribute to organisational goals. Demonstrate behaviours that are in line with the department's values.
- Manage and monitor the department's contracts with its employee support service providers for optimal service delivery and value for money.
- Work with the Department of Health as part of a shared service arrangement to continue to develop, refine and maintain the peer support network in line with best practice.
