Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857, and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. **About the Role**
A school of _Good Samaritan Education_, Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest for the position of a permanent full-time Science Coordinator (1.0FTE) to lead the Science Faculty at the commencement of Term 1, 2025. This 2-point leadership role will work collaboratively with the Dean of Learning, Assistant Deans of Learning, and Science faculty members and work across all year groups, undertaking responsibilities within the team, as required by the Dean of Learning.
Applicants for this position must be highly effective leaders, effective classroom practitioners, dedicated team players interested in the care and welfare of students, and skilled in teaching Science to equip them to contribute to the College’s educational program in teaching and learning. Applicants will also need to be skilled in using educational technology in the classroom. This position will allow a creative and passionate teacher to flourish.
**About You**
To be considered for this position, you must be a highly dedicated leader who meets the following criteria:
- Leadership experience with a focus on rigorous student learning, engagement, and growth
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative, research, and data-driven approach to excellence in teaching and learning
- Work collaboratively with other faculties to promote a range of initiatives and opportunities among students (e.g., STEM initiative)
- Contribute to the College's learning culture as a member of the College's Curriculum Leadership Team (CLT)
- Demonstrated success in driving achievement and growth in the HSC
- Proven capacity to lead and develop a dynamic team
- A track record of being approachable and empathetic
- Understand and show commitment to the Australian Professional Standards for Teaching.
- Possess proven ability to incorporate modern technologies into their teaching practice and convey passion for classroom innovation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a valid Working with Children Check
- A commitment to the child safeguarding principles
- Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College
