**About the Role**: As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality dental services to our community. Your responsibilities will include providing clinical assistance to oral health professionals, ensuring surgeries are prepared and maintained to the highest standards, and supporting health promotion activities. This position is central to ensuring that our services are client-centered, culturally appropriate, and aligned with our commitment to the social model of health. You will work across multiple sites, including outreach locations, and will contribute to both clinical and administrative functions, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our clients. **Key Responsibilities** **Provide chair-side assistance** to oral health professionals during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and high-quality care.
**Prepare and maintain dental surgeries,** including the selection and preparation of instruments, materials, and equipment, while adhering to strict infection control protocols.
**Conduct preclinical interviews** with clients and their families, enhancing their overall experience and ensuring that care is tailored to their needs.
**Support health promotion activities** by participating in community outreach programs and liaising with community groups to improve oral health awareness
**Undertake reception and administrative duties,** including maintaining accurate client and clinic records, managing stock, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
**Contribute to a culturally appropriate and inclusive environment** by working cooperatively with team members and responding sensitively to the needs of clients from diverse backgrounds.

**About You**
- **Qualified Dental Assistant** with a Certificate III (or currently enrolled as a trainee).
- **Demonstrated experience** in providing clinical support in a dental setting.
- **Organized and detail-oriented,** capable of managing multiple tasks and setting work priorities effectively.
- **Culturally sensitive and responsive,** able to work appropriately with clients from diverse backgrounds and meet their specific needs.
- **Team player** with the ability to work cooperatively in a collaborative environment.
- **Professional presentation and behavior,** especially in client-facing roles.
- **Administrative skills,** including record-keeping and managing clinic operations.
- **Additional language skills** are an advantage, enhancing communication with clients from various backgrounds.
