The role
- As the Johnny BIGG VIC State Manager, you will motivate, inspire and lead your team to success, in one of the largest state in the business. You will achieve and exceed set sales, wage, and financial budgets, while ensuring team members have an inspiring and inclusive work environment.
You will maximise the performance and profitability of the business, through driving sales, training and providing support and development to your area and store managers. You will be passionate about their personal growth and development, as well as fostering their success within the business. You will be accountable for the revenue and operations of the state, while ensuring the brand is always represented to the highest level of excellence.
Reporting to the Head of Retail and working in collaboration with other State Managers and Visual Merchandisers, you will oversee 3 Area Managers and 17 stores. Ideally, you will have a track record of creating and fostering a culture that provides amazing customer experiences.
As State Manager you will
- Drive the customer experience in every store in the state.
- Inspire your team with a hands-on approach, through leading by example.
- Be accountable for wage and stocktake results within the state.
- Recruit, train and retain high caliber team in line with the Johnny BIGG brand values and ensure a structured onboarding process.
- Identify high performing team members and develop them in line with their personal development plans.
- Coach and mentor, your Area Managers and Store Managers to develop their skills and confidence to achieve personal and professional goals.
- Be a strong communicator who can lead, coach, develop and influence others.
- Strong commercial and visual merchandising skills with the ability to trade the business.
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have
- Minimum 3 years plus experience in state management
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Strong business acumen - ability to analyse results and strategies for improvement
- Strong understanding of KPIS and their impact on the business
- Experience in leading, coaching and managing a state team
- The ability to drive a dynamic culture
- Self-motivated can-do attitude, with the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with a wider national team
