Manager, Governance Uplift

**The Role**

This is an exciting opportunity to support the uplift of activities across the Member Office and assist with the delivery of key activities across multiple workstreams, within a licence condition project.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and attend regular meetings to discuss project activity and related matters.
- Support the development and co-ordination of Member Office key policies and processes as part of the implementation and embedment phase of the project commitments.
- Collate and support in the preparation of relevant board and board committee papers and provide appropriate recommendations, as per Member Office remit.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders, fostering trust and expanding the knowledge and importance of the Member Office function and super fund Trustees' role.
- Support the super fund Trustee Boards to fulfil their fiduciary obligations by advocating for member best interests.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, analysis, review of board papers, frameworks, policies, and other governance documents, as required.
- Maintain electronic filing systems and agreement registers to track and manage agreed milestones and/or key dates.
- Other responsibilities as directed by the Senior Managers or GM, Enablement in Member Office.

**To be successful in this role you will possess**:

- Ideally at least 5 years of experience in financial services/ superannuation/ wealth management industry
- Experience with regulatory requirements as they relate to superannuation funds (including SIS Act, Corporations Act, associated regulations, prudential standards and regulatory guides) and deep understanding of corporate governance, particularly as it relates to superannuation trustees and funds.
- Good knowledge of superannuation and/or wealth management business
- Good communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Risk and compliance focussed.
- Business analyst skills (governance related).
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and navigate environments undergoing significant change.
- Collaborative, engaging and motivated to work in cross functional multi-disciplined teams
- Understanding of conflicts of interest management
- Exemplary behaviours.
