What does the job look like?
- Our Retail business is currently seeking a
- State Manager

to join the team. This role will support and manage the business activities of our
- QLD Transport Operations

while working in collaboration with our people, ensuring every decision you make will be driven by
- safety, service, and cost


This position will suit a focused leader who can influence strategy and continue to drive successful stakeholder relationships. You will provide proactive leadership through setting high performance standards, driving accountability, results, and constructive people management. Key Areas:

- Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times
- Responsibility for the financial performance of the contract, ensuring agreed measures for profitability and other key performance indicators for the contract are met
- Driving productivity to maximise resources throughout the state, control costs and maintain a focus on strategic initiatives
- Developing strong partnerships between operational, resourcing and planning teams to ensure maximum utilisation of staff, equipment, and facilities
- Enhancing customer relationships through understanding customer needs, regular personal contact, and demonstrating a genuine interest in customer welfare and success
- Leading and inspiring a team of transport professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

- Proven decision-making capability, with the ability to make timely, effective decisions that drive business outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Extensive experience managing senior-level stakeholder relationships, with the confidence to navigate discussions with customers to protect business objectives.
- Advanced computer literacy, with the ability to leverage data to drive informed decisions and operational improvements.
