**About this position**

The City is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Planner to join the Development Services team.

The salary range will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

**Key responsibilities**
- Prepare reports for Council and JDAP consideration
- Participate State Administrative Tribunal matters
- Attend meetings and provide written advice to government agencies, developers, the public and internal stakeholders
- Deliver excellent customer service across all interactions

**What we are looking for**

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Good understanding of the importance of design in the planning process (Level 6).
- Effective report writing skills (Level 6)
- Excellent written and verbal and communication skills, along with the ability to interpret plans to customers.
- Strong organisational and customer service skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain position working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.

**Essential requirements**
- Degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline
- Driver's licence
