**Tuckshop Convenor - All Saints Parish School, Albany Creek**
- We are seeking a motivated, efficient and friendly Tuckshop Convenor for the School working 4 hours per week on a Friday.
- The successful applicant will display:

- Proven administration, communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Be a quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment

**As the Tuckshop Convenor you will**:

- Support the Catholic ethos of the school.
- Provide a balanced range of nutritional food at a reasonable cost to students and staff within the school while maintaining a high standard of hygiene in the preparation, presentation and service of food.
- Coordinate the daily administration of the school tuckshop, supervise tuckshop volunteers and provide quality customer service to students, clients and staff through professional timely and cost-effective tuckshop services.

**Duties/Skills**
- The Tuckshop Convenor will have responsibility for the following:

- Coordinate the daily operation of the school tuckshop and oversee the preparation of food and counter services;
- Design and offer a menu that focuses on providing nutritious foods to the School community liaising with School staff as appropriate;
- Coordinate volunteers to facilitate effective and efficient operations;
- Liaise with the Principal and Finance Officers to ensure timely pricing reviews of menu offerings and profitable trading operation;
- Identify stock requirements and place orders with appropriate vendors on a regular basis, ensuring maximum earning potential;
- Pro-actively review supplier’s products offered, service and pricing;
- Participate in regular stock take, recording and reporting processes;
- Maintain accurate and appropriate records for the tuckshop and associated catering operations including filing of ordering, receipt and associated documentation;
- Deliver a quality service to students and customers through approved marketing arrangements;
- Ensure food storage and handling is appropriate, hygienic and in accordance with the standards outlined by health controlling authorities within relevant legislation and regulations;
- Provide effective supervision and appropriate training and assistance to volunteers in the performance of their roles, including preparation and notification of rosters;
- Observe Workplace Health and Safety Practices to ensure that the tuckshop and equipment is operated and maintained in a safe and hygienic manner, and display emergency procedures in a prominent location;
- Oversee a cashless payment system; and
- Any other duties as directed by the Principal and Finance Officers.

**Mandatory requirements of this role are**:

- Completion of the online Brisbane City Council’s “I’m Alert - Food safety Training”;
- Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Care prior to commencement; and
- Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

- Supports strategic direction of All Saints Parish School as a faith filled community
- Knowledge of, or ability to gain knowledge of, departmental administrative and financial policies, practices and procedures, and Workplace Health and Safety legislation and requirements used in a commercial style canteen/tuckshop within a school environment.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake business practices in relation to food preparation, stock and asset management of a school tuckshop.

**Authority**
- Full authority is delegated from the Principal to produce the desired outcomes through the Finance Officers.
