We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Category & Contracts Specialist at our Perth CBD office, on a Full-Time permanent basis in the Commercial Enterprise Portfolio Team.

**About this role**

As the Category & Contracts Specialist you will be responsible for contract management of Enterprise categories that encompasses categories such as Fleet, HR and Recruitment services, Facilities and Security management services, Marketing services, Safety, Health and Environmental related Services.

You will lead end-to-end category management, from strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations to contract execution and performance management. This role requires a keen ability to drive value, ensure compliance, and foster strong supplier relationships, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Western Power's Strategy.

**About you**

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

- Degree qualified in Procurement, Contract, Business, Finance and/or related discipline and/or extensive suitable demonstrated experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing and executing contract strategies and plans to generate value
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing supplier relationships to generate value beyond the contract
- Strong influencing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated good negotiation and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated strong contract management skills
- Demonstrated customer and results focus
- Knowledge and experience in Contract Law, Construction Law, Australian Consumer Law and related legislation and regulations
- Good understanding of Australian Standard suite of contracts (including construction and supply, delivery and installation of equipment of goods) and general services type agreements.
- Demonstrated good conceptual and analytical skills
