**Part-time Nanny/Housekeeper**

We are seeking a reliable and caring person to join our family as a Nanny/Housekeeper. We have two boys aged 2 years and 11 years, and are looking for someone to help in the home for 6 hours per day Monday and Wednesday as well as 7.30am to 3pm on Friday. You will primarily be based in our home but might occasionally need to accompany one or both of our children on outings or to appointments.

On a Monday and Wednesday Mum will normally be in the home (studying, preparing meals, laundry and the like, but sometimes the 2yo will want to be with Mum and so we will ask our new Nanny to help with doing the other household tasks that keeps Mum busy.

It would also be ideal if our new Nanny could on occasion be flexible with working hours (or even add additional hours) to look after our boys of an evening from time to time.

The core **responsibilities **of this role are:
1. Create a Safe Environment:

- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Implement appropriate safety measures.
- Monitor indoor/outdoor activities to prevent accidents or injuries including being sun sensible etc.

2. Development:

- Engage in age-appropriate activities that promote physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.
- Encourage good manners, proper behaviour, and respect towards others.

3. Daily Care:

- Prepare nutritious meals/snacks for our children.
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, brushing teeth, nappy changing, etc.

4. Communication:

- Maintain open communication with us regarding the daily activities, achievements, concerns of our children etc.
- Report any emergency situations immediately to us or seek immediate appropriate emergency help.

5. Other Duties if Mum has 2yo:

- Perform light housekeeping duties (e.g., tidying up toys/play areas after use, cleaning floors in main living areas, wiping down kitchen after meals etc).
- Laundry.
- Keep common areas used by the children clean and organized.
- Family meal prep/kitchen clear up when toddler is down for nap.
- Possible errands to local neighbourhood (Post Office pick up etc).
- Previous experience working with toddlers and children.
- Dedication to creating a positive and enriching atmosphere.
- Illness/germs and hygiene aware and responsible (ie not coming to work when unwell).
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications for children.
- Have WWCC and Police Check.
- A driver's license and reliable vehicle (we will provide a child seat for 2yo).
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
- High level of patience, kindness, and genuine love for children.
- Have the right to work in Australia.

Ideally you will have or be working towards obtaining your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care (or higher).
