Social Worker

**About The Role**

We are seeking Social Worker to join our compassionate, dedicated team at **Ramsay Clinic New Farm on a** **permanent part-time basis**. With our focus on providing patient-centered care, our Social Workers play a crucial role in supporting patients in hospital settings.

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team on our inpatient unit, working with experienced healthcare professionals to identify patient needs and develop appropriate care plans. You will be responsible for providing emotional support, counselling and practical assistance to patients and their families to ensure a smooth discharge.

**About You**

This role requires a dedicated clinician with experience in mental health assessment, evidence-based treatment, and recovery-oriented care for patients and their families/carers. Counselling skills to support issues of grief, loss and adjustment to acute health conditions are also highly valued.

**Your Skills and Experience**
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work.
- Relevant experience working as a Social Worker in a hospital setting, with experience in an acute ward setting.
- Eligible to be an accredited member of AASW.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with consumers, their families and all health care professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary & psychiatry team including internal and external agencies.
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and manage time effectively, prioritize competing demands.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care & NDIS sector will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated work within scope of care

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Accredited Mental Health Social Worker qualification.
- Post-graduate qualification.
- Specialised knowledge of the needs of the Veteran community and mental health legislation.
- Group facilitation skills.

**Requirements**:
