**The Y Brisbane** is one of South East Queensland's most recognisable not-for-profit community organisations. YMCA Social Impact is the benevolent arm of the YMCA which focuses on a range of services which include the YMCA Vocational School, School Breakfast Programs, Meals for the Homeless, Affordable Housing and providing training to persons who would otherwise be at risk from unemployment.

**The Y Op Shop** is currently seeking **Shop Assistant - Volunteers** to join their friendly and committed team located in **Mount Gravatt, QLD.**

**ABOUT THE POSITION**

**Volunteer Shop Assistants** contribute to the effective and efficient operations of the Op Shops and Distribution.

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

- Customer service to ensure an excellent shopping experience
- Cash handling, and operating the register
- Sorting and pricing of donations
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe store
- Assisting with customer queries and sales

- Ability to work in a team to support your colleagues

- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Portray our YMCA Core Values; Honesty, Care, Respect and Responsibility
- (V) or (P) Blue Card, or willingness to obtain
- Right to work in Australia
