**About the Role**

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to embark on a Turf Management Apprenticeship, focusing on the preparation and maintenance of cricket wickets. Under the guidance of the Service Coordinator Turf Wickets and experienced Turf Wicket Curators, you'll gain hands-on experience while pursuing a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in preparing and maintaining turf wickets and practice facilities to the highest standards.
- Identify and manage turf pests and diseases.
- Implement contemporary turf management and irrigation practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records related to turf management activities.
- Participate in training across various horticultural disciplines.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the following:

- A genuine interest in turf maintenance and a commitment to completing a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management.
- Prior experience in related fields is advantageous but not essential.
- Current Victorian driver's licence (required prior to commencement).
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and the public.
- Willingness to engage in both on-the-job training and formal education components of the apprenticeship.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
