We are seeking a motivated
**Yard Hand / Forklift Operator** with key focus on safety to join our onsite team based in
**Perth**.

As a turnkey construction company, we provide pre-construction assistance, project schedule development as well as construction management services.

**About the role**
This role is involved in day to day duties in the production yard. This role will handle miscellaneous work within our facility including loading and unloading of materials, provide assistance to production managers, yard and stores staff, and ensuring facility is clean and safe.

**A person with experience in operating a large forklift to maneuver buildings will be highly desired.**

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- Forklift and yard hand duties
- Prepare buildings for transport
- Install tarping to weatherproof buildings for transport
- Conduct daily pre-starts on equipment and machinery, keeping records maintained and arranging any necessary repairs or maintenance schedules
- Liaise with transport companies and their drivers in our yards and ensure that all paperwork is done correctly and passed on to the appropriate departments
- Packing of materials and equipment for transport
- Emptying bins on production lines daily to minimise disruption to production
- Housekeeping and general yard duties including packing remove strapping, packing and rubbish, excess gluts and other materials to maintain yard/work areas
- Assisting in Stores when required, including receipt of materials from suppliers, loading & unload materials from delivery trucks, stocktake and other general stores tasks

**About You**
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

- Min 3 years experience in a similar role
- Building or manufacturing industry exposure preferred
- Strong focus on safety and quality control
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Comfortable working in a robust and fast paced environment
- Punctual and reliable
- A current valid Australian driver’s license
- Current construction card (white card)
- Current high-risk forklift license
