**The Financial Lines Team**

The Financial Lines practice group is widely regarded as one of the premier defendant insurance teams in the country. They work with a range of clients in different sectors including construction & infrastructure, financial institutions and services, professions and business services, small medium enterprises (SMEs) and technology.

The group covers a wide range of expertise including directors and officers liability, fidelity and crime, financial institutions, management liability, political risk, professional liability, trade credit and warranty and indemnity.

**The Role**

There is now a fantastic opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join the team in their Sydney office.

This role will see you supporting a highly regarded Partner in the Financial Lines space, working in a variety of Professional Indemnity claims within the construction, property and energy industries. You will also assist with defending complex litigated defamation claims, and act in commercial litigation.

This role will provide exposure to a broad range of clients including domestic and international insurers, major corporations, engineers, architects and quantity surveyors.

**Requirements**:
To be successful, you will be an ambitious lawyer with at least 3 years' PAE, and a strong desire to work on high profile liability claims and complex litigation.

In addition, you will have:

- Excellent legal research and drafting skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- A high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
