**About the Role**

In this role you will report to the Manager of Health Information Services at Westmead Private Hospital to ensure data is collected, collated and managed in line with hospital and relative legislative requirements.

You will be processing confidential data which is used for billing, morbidity collections, research, statistical analysis, management information systems, quality activities and casemix management including Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) allocation.

**About you**: To be successful in this role, you will have the following

**Essential Criteria**

**_ Qualifications_**
- Completion of Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) Clinical Coding Course, Associate Diploma or Bachelor of Applied Science, Medical Record Administration or Health Information Management; or similar relevant tertiary qualification.
- Previous Private Hospital experience
- Demonstrated current experience in Clinical Coding including a **minimum 3 years fulltime** **equivalent hours** (FTE) coding experience (post training) coding an advanced surgical casemix.
- Commitment to professional development through quality activities, constructive feedback and mentoring.
- Sound computer literacy and skills within the Microsoft Office Suite.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Experience using Meditech
- Previous Private Hospital experience.

**Remuneration**:On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $37.96 - $52.94 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
