This well-known Government Trading Enterprise has a vacancy for a Category Manager to join them on a permanent basis, located in the Perth CBD.

**Your new role**

Within this position, you will be responsible for:

- Procurement lifecycle of the Category under management: planning, research, solicitation (tendering), contract management & completion.
- Strategic management of the full life cycle of contracts under assigned categories
- Monitor and evaluate vendor performance and ensure contract compliance.
- Ensures purchases under the respective contract reflect agreed contract terms.
- Undertakes or participates in discussions with vendor and internal stakeholders to resolve problems.
- Evaluates variation proposals and interpretations of contract terms and provides appropriate recommendations to the relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborates with Data metrics team to ensure accurate and timely data for performance monitoring purposes.

**What you’ll need to succeed**

In order to succeed, you will have prior experience in a Category Management role or similar duties to the above, as well as have excellent leadership and stakeholder influencing skills.
