Risk Analyst

We are currently looking for a Risk Analyst to join our Controlling and Risk Department. The key purpose of this role is to support the Credit Risk Reporting and Modelling Manager in reporting, analysis and credit decisioning. This role will also assist in identifying, assessing and monitoring the various risks within the business activities of VWFS Australia.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Production of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements across retail, wholesale and fleet portfolios. High quality outcome to be delivered with agreed deadlines is a must.
- Preparing provision reports, ensuring key factors such as PD, LGD, EAD and delinquency distribution are well-monitored on a monthly basis.
- Maintain credit decision system, working with credit team to help the business make better and well-informed credit decision.
- Assisting in automating reporting process and data extracts to improve efficiency
- Provide support to maintain and analyse the provision policies and review their values to ensure compliance with all risk and accounting standards.
- Assist the Credit Risk Reporting and Modelling Manager in acting as an internal consultant to understand and meet stakeholders' needs and requirements.
- Assist the Credit Risk Reporting and Modelling Manager in identifying emergence of risks and tracking performance of retail book, with solutions and recommendations provided to the manager.
- Participate in projects if required.

**The successful applicant**:

- Educated to degree level or hold a relevant appropriate professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics and Engineering.
- Minimum 12 months experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Great attitude and work ethic are the key elements to achieve a success in the role.
- Strong knowledge of Excel is essential (formula combination & nesting, Pivot table and data manipulation).
- Experience in SQL, VBA, XML, SAP BI and SAS is advantageous, but training can be provided.
- Ability to analyse data to find insights, trends, patterns and root causes.
- Strong attention to details and analytical mindset.
- Self-motivated and willing to take on new challenges.
- Experience in Credit Risk Management is desirable.
