Manager Creative Services

As the Manager, Creative Services, you will lead, mentor, and grow a team of creative professionals, setting the strategic direction for the Creative Services function. You will be responsible for driving innovative design and audio-visual production services that contribute to improved health outcomes for consumers across the Queensland health system.
What you'll do
Provide specialist authoritative advice to Deputy Directors-General and senior departmental management on creative solutions that engage, inform and educate a variety of diverse health system audiences.
Provide effective leadership in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating creative outputs across a variety of health topics, consistent with the strategic priorities of the department and the branch.
Actively develop and manage frameworks, systems, and processes to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the creative services function.
Lead development of creative strategy to ensure materials inform, engage, educate and inspire audiences toward positive behaviour change.
Manage the delivery of creative outputs to strict deadlines, including graphic design, photography, video production, editing and dispatch.
Provide effective contract management and procurement in relation to the numerous products and subscriptions required by the team to effectively deliver on its remit.
Maintain oversight of, and develop, the Asset Library as a tool for promotion, collaboration and enablement across the system.
About you
**We are searching for someone with**:
Proven ability to provide effective leadership in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating creative, design and audio-visual production activity, ensuring all output is aligned to strategic priorities.
Very strong and demonstrated practical knowledge of the technical requirements of graphic design, photography, video production, animation, sound recording, editing and dispatch.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in partnership and build influential and productive relationships across organisational and sector boundaries, particularly in a time of crisis.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in a creative services and/or project management context, in a high-pressure environment.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills within a communications or creative services environment, including the ability to effectively coach and mentor staff.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and contribute to the positive culture of a team with a track record of maintaining a customer service mentality and supporting all colleagues to succeed.
