About the Role:
We have a new opportunity for an Electrical Supervisor to join the team at our Wagerup Refinery This position is an opportunity for career development and growth in Electrical/Instrumentation (EI) maintenance management. You work an attractive 5 days on, 5 days off work schedule, leading our EI Technicians.

We see you playing a large part in the success of work execution and people engagement leading an electrical and instrumentation maintenance team. Your primary focus will be coaching the teams daily to meet and exceed all objectives in the areas of safety, environment, planned work completion and quality. This involves being an integral part of the area maintenance planning process and working closely with other workgroups and operations personnel.

Core activities in this role include:
- Responsibility for developing effective EI work plans using a standardised planning and assisting with minor project work,- Coaching, mentoring and guiding diverse EI trades teams consisting of EI tradespersons, and an EI trade assistant, to reach their full potential aligned to high standards of safety and work practices at all times,- Mentoring the crew to become an effective semi-autonomous work group that can make informed decisions to manage their own safety performance, work output, cost control, reporting and problem solving,- Involvement in daily and weekly planning, and development of the EI plan each week to match our business needs,- Developing costed work packs which contain detailed work scope, resource requirements (inclusive of labour and equipment) and parts/materials management,- Ensuring Alcoa mandatory training is up to date for your crew,- Assisting the Superintendent with cost control in your area of responsibility, and- Willingness to work towards attaining Level 3 High Voltage (HV) switching.

What you can bring to the role:
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Electrical or Electrical/Instrumentation trade background (or equivalent) and hold a current ‘A’ Grade Electrical license.- HV Switching would be considered desirable-
- Well-developed leadership and communication skills- A successful history of planning, scheduling and executing electrical and instrument planned maintenance, preferably within a computerised maintenance planning system.- Exposure to Distributed Control Systems (preferably Honeywell) and PLC systems (preferably Allen-Bradley) is also highly desirable.- A consistent track record of accomplishment in the safe operation and maintenance of HV distribution systems, which may include circuit breakers, distribution transformers and overhead power lines highly desirable.
