Property Underwriter In Melbourne's CBD

Our client is a successful, award-winning organisation. The company prides itself on its depth of knowledge in all areas of their business and is currently looking for an experienced Property & Liability Underwriter to join its highly successful team in Melbourne

**Your new role**

The responsibilities of the role will be to;
- Maintain and grow relationships and maintain existing with key stakeholders
- Coaching and assisting new and existing staff coupled with driving of positive engagement
- Hand on Underwriting which would include complex cases (Managing Renewals, Endorsements, and New Business opportunities to attain financial targets)
- Underwriting strategy, risk appetite, systems, audit process, underwriting policies and pricing/policy negotiation
- Review and analyse monthly & yearly results with the board of directors

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Industry qualifications/accreditations (e.g. ANZIIF diploma in General Insurance) or comparable industry experience
- Experience underwriting Property & Liability
- Strong broker/market relationships will be highly regarded
- This role is looking for a natural leader with strong ambition and drive to help shape and grow the Melbourne business
