**Who We Are**

The Kitchen Crew by BCOGNITIVE is not your average cooking gig.
We’re a fun, hands-on, purpose-driven program tackling food insecurity, building life skills, and strengthening communities — all through the power of cooking.

We're working with NDIS participants to boost independence and confidence in the kitchen — and beyond. With support from allied health professionals and passionate cooks (like you), we’re helping people take control of their health, nutrition, and daily lives.

**What Makes Us Different?**

Here’s how The Kitchen Crew rolls:
**Meal Planning**: Work with participants on a personalised meal plan based on their needs, goals, and food preferences.

**Smart Shopping**: We help participants learn how to shop for fresh, affordable food — with hands-on support and practical tips.

**Cooking Together**: You’ll lead in-home or group cooking sessions, teaching real cooking skills, sharing your food wisdom, and helping people fall in love with homemade meals.

**Eating & Celebrating**: The best part — sitting down to enjoy something made from scratch. Every meal is a confidence boost, a skill learned, and a win for well-being.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Experience as a chef or cook — doesn’t need to be fancy, just solid kitchen skills
- Passion for working in disability or mental health support
- Great people skills — empathetic, patient, and encouraging
- Confident in adapting your teaching and mentoring style to support individual learning needs
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience in disability support is awesome (but not essential)

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $32.88 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 16 per week
