Consultant - Health Advisory Team

**Purpose of Role**

QTC’s Advisory Division is focused on supporting financial sustainability and operational excellence across Queensland’s Government Departments, Local Governments and Government Owned Corporations. The Advisory Division supports and assists these Government entities to:

- deliver their budgets
- improve their client service delivery
- identify and mitigate significant business risk, and
- implement and sustain projects while building internal capability.

As part of our **Health Advisory Team**, you will collaborate closely with the Department of Health, Hospital and Health Services, and central agencies. Your mission? To execute government priorities that lead to better financial and health outcomes for Queensland. **Qualifications**

Essential
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline required for professional roles.

**Experience**

Essential
- Minimum 5 years employment experience in roles that demonstrate overall competency.
- Experience in the business operating model capability set with delivered results (preferred) or identified capacity to deliver results across the listed capability areas.
- Experience in areas such as corporate finance, preparing business cases, feasibility studies, optimising businesses.
- Relationship management skills including the proven ability to develop partnerships with clients and internal teams.
- Skills in negotiating and facilitating discussions in a variety of situations.
- Excellent report writing, financial analysis and PowerPoint skills.
- Engaging and persuasive communication style.
- Critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated ability to effectively diagnose situations and develop creative solutions.
- Experience in areas such as corporate finance, preparing business cases, feasibility studies, optimising businesses.

Desirable
- Experience working in consulting or advisory services.
