Ventia is currently seeking passionate and motivated Cleaners to join our team at the Melbourne Assessment Prison. As a Cleaner, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for all staff, occupants, and visitor. The role will involve providing general cleaning to office areas, reception, workshops, canteens, parking lots and other.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for an industry leading business and within a supportive and experienced team. The prison is located in the Melbourne Central Business District and is very close to the public transport links. We have a variety of Permanent full-time and part-time roles available.

**Location**: Melbourne Central Business District
**Pay rate**:from $22.76 to $48.93 per hour + Super

**Shift Times**:
Full Time or Part Time - Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 19:00
Part Time - Saturday & Sunday between 07:00 and 19:00

**Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the facility, including offices, reception, workshops, bathrooms, holding cells, common areas and foyers
- Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, staircases, and surfaces
- Collecting and disposing of waste and garbage
- Restocking cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed
- Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor

**Requirements**:

- Ability to follow cleaning protocols and safety procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Being friendly, professional, and having a “Can Do” attitude to work
- Physically able to undertake manual work including lifting, carrying, and kneeling
- Must have received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine
