Trainee Dental Assistant

**Join Our Team at Dental Studio Mooroolbark**

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Assistant (with some receptionist duties) to join our friendly team at Dental Studio Mooroolbark on Monday's and one other day of your choosing, interviews taking place over the next few weeks. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to begin acareerin dental assisting with on-site training provided. **Applications without a cover letter will not be considered**

**Position Overview**:

- **Job Types**: Full-Time, Part-Time
- **Hours**: 9-18 hours per week (Monday's and one other day of your choosing), no weekends required
- **Pay**: $20-$30 per hour, based on experience
- **Location**: Dental Studio Mooroolbark

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Chair-side dental assisting for the Dentist, including assisting with procedures and managing materials/instruments.
- Sterilisation of instruments and maintaining infection control standards.
- Managing patient appointments and communication.
- Greeting patients and providing excellent customer service.
- Taking phone calls and responding to patient inquiries.
- Processing invoices, making health insurance claims, and handling EFTPOS payments.

**Required Skills & Attributes**:

- Comfortable speaking to people over the phone with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Ability to follow instructions and established protocols, while being adaptable when needed.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly.
- Excellent customer service skills (experience in customer service or receptionist duties is a plus but not required).
- Ability to use computers and phones effectively; training will be provided for our practice management software.

**No prior experience in dental assisting or reception is required, though any relevant experience is a bonus.**
