**About the Role**
- Implement Council's Tree Retention Policy.
- Assist with Council's Street Tree Planting Program.
- Provide arboriculture advice to key internal stakeholders, including planning referrals for new developments.
- Actively Promote tree protection during the planning permit process by attending team meetings and engaging with individual staff on their referrals.

**Skills & Experience**
- Extensive experience in urban tree management and arboriculture with a Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Horticulture/ Arboriculture or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of tree protection process for both planning schemes and local laws.
- Proven ability to provide key advice for arboriculture planning referrals in a local government setting.
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- This position requires a Police Check and an employee Working with Children Card.
