Role Scope
The PO3 Clinician is responsible for providing effective, contemporary and evidence-based clinical services in regard to positive behaviour support and restrictive practices using an individualised assessment and service delivery approach.
Key responsibilities of this role
- Provide contemporary, transparent and evidence-based clinical advice in regard to positive behaviour support and reducing and eliminating restrictive practices in the context of the Disability Services Act 2006.
- Undertake and prepare clinical assessments, submissions, reports, briefs and other documentation as required.
- Maintain an active clinical caseload of individuals with complex behaviour support needs.
- Ensure that compliance is maintained in regard to the legislative framework and ensure appropriate safeguards are implemented for clients in line with the Disability Services Act 2006.
- Collaborate with the team which holds the oversight function of the positive behaviour support and restrictive practices framework under the Disability Services Act 2006.
- Ability to create and maintain client records consistent with departmental and legislative requirements.
