**About the Role**:Key Responsibilities**:
- Monitor student attendance records and follow up on unexplained absences.
- Implement strategies to improve attendance rates and reduce truancy.
- Work closely with students, parents/guardians, and school staff to address attendance issues and provide support where needed.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and generate reports as required.
- Collaborate with external agencies and community organisations to support students with attendance challenges.
- Conduct home visits and meetings with parents/guardians to discuss attendance concerns and develop action plans.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to attendance management.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Knowledge of attendance monitoring systems and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Empathy and understanding of the factors that may contribute to attendance issues among students.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
