Hays is currently partnered with health and safety organisation to recruit a **Service Transition Manager** in a temporary capacity. This organisation strives to prevent workplace injuries, illness and fatalities whilst raising the standard of health and safety in all workplaces.

**Your new role**
This role is responsible for the development, deployment and continuous improvement of the Change, Release and Service Transition Management processes to support the transition of new or changed IT services.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Sets the organisation's policy for the management of change in live services and test environments. Ensures effective control and treatment of risk. Leads the development of new methods and tools for change control. Measures and monitors adherence to standards and ensures consistent execution of the process across the organisation.
- Engages with delivery teams to ensure correct products are produced in a timely fashion. Evaluates the quality of project outputs against agreed service acceptance criteria.
- Identifies the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups. Translates communications/stakeholder engagement strategies into specific activities and deliverables. Facilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders. Acts as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans. Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding. Facilitates business decision-making processes. Captures and disseminates technical and business information.
- Collects supplier performance data and investigates problems. Monitors and reports on supplier performance, customer satisfaction, adherence to security requirements and market intelligence. Validates that suppliers' performance is in accordance with contract terms. Engages proactively and collaboratively with suppliers to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance. Implements supplier management-related service improvement initiatives and programmes.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field of study.
- Significant experience in a similar role within a large, complex organisation
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues at various organisational levels
- Significant experience in managing a complex plan of work and the ability to prioritise work, negotiate and influence stakeholders
- Proven ability to work with little direction and supervision.
- Strong customer focus, communicating regularly with all stakeholders, understanding customer’s short-and long-term needs.
- Experience in developing, maintaining and improving end-to-end release and service transition processes
- Experience in the integration between operational service delivery and the Project Management Office (PMO) function to plan and deliver a complex program of work
- Experience managing vendors and third-party service providers in a complex multi-sourcing environment

**attractive daily rate of $977.71 + Super, full-time hours and an initial 4-month placement with the possibility of an extension**. This company promotes flexible working arrangements, with 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home.
