About the Team
The School Facilities Operations Team work collaboratively to deliver support and advisory services to Principals and Business Managers to manage school facilities operations. The Team interacts with Organisational Safety & Wellbeing to promote safe practices aligned with the department's current chemical management requirements and equipment use. School Facilities Operations also provides support to Procurement, Corporate Finance, Payroll and Human Resources. The Team is committed to excellence in service.
About the Role
The School Facilities Operations Advisor is responsible for, but not limited to the activities listed below. Applicants are encouraged to read the attached Role Description for further information about the role.
- Identifying and advising state schools on evidence-based strategies in a timely way to improve the health, safety and wellbeing outcomes for Cleaners and Schools Officers, Grounds and Facilities.
- Providing advice to schools on all issues associated with equipment, chemicals and consumable items.
- Facilitating the delivery and scheduling of training and assisting with development of programs to school-based facilities staff including Cleaners and Schools Officers, Grounds and Facilities in relation to the department's Health, Safety and Wellness policies and procedures. This will include, but not be limited to:

- Technical Induction Programs;
- Mandatory Training; and
- Other emerging needs as required.
- Undertake site visits to capture and maintain site measurement data for state schools within the region.

**What You Need to Succeed**:
**The ideal applicant will have a track record to**:

- To work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Have an understanding of school facilities operations and relevant Workplace health and safety practices.
- Be required to deliver training to school cleaners and schools officers, training experience is required.
- Display a high level of written and oral communication skills.
- Have an understanding of current DoE systems.
- Display a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Ability to undertake overnight travel (may include air travel) and hold a current driver's licence.
- Hold a Blue Card.
- Provide proof of vaccinations.
- A brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (one of whom should be your current supervisor).
- A maximum 2-page written response outlining your suitability for the role.

When working in regulated employment an employee must have a current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services.
