**About the role**

We have a newly purpose-built facility dedicated to supporting women experiencing homelessness, including those transitioning from St Bart’s Women’s Shelter. Catherine House offers a safe, supportive environment where women can rebuild their lives, regain their independence, and rediscover their identity.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering women to achieve their goals and overcome complex life challenges. You will deliver person-centred support that encourages and educates women to make informed decisions based on their individual needs. You will also provide emotional support, helping to build resilience, confidence, and a sense of stability during their journey toward independence.

This role requires a commitment to one of the following fixed rosters. Please indicate your preferred option when applying.

Roster Option 1:

- Week 1: Tuesday 1:45pm-9:15pm, Wednesday 1:45pm-9:15pm, Saturday 6am-2pm, Sunday 4pm-6am (sleepover shift)
- Week 2: Monday 4pm-6am (sleepover shift), Wednesday 6am-2pm, Thursday 6am-2pm, Friday 9pm-6am, Saturday 9pm-6am

Roster Option 2
- Week 1: Monday 9pm-6am, Tuesday 9pm-6am, Thursday 1:45pm-9:15pm, Friday 1:45pm-9:15pm, Saturday 1:45pm-9:15pm
- Week 2: Tuesday 4pm-6am (sleepover shift), Wednesday 4pm-6am (sleepover shift), Thursday 4pm-6am (sleepover shift), Saturday 6am-2pm, Sunday 9pm-6am

Roster Option 3
- Week 1: Wednesday 9pm-6am, Thursday 9pm-6am, Friday 9pm-6am, Sunday 1:45pm-9:15pm
- Week 2: Monday 1:45pm-9:15pm, Tuesday 1:45pm-9:15pm, Friday 4pm-6am (sleepover shift), Saturday 4pm-6am (sleepover shift), Sunday 4pm-6am (sleepover shift)

**About you**

You have a kind and caring nature that fosters strong, trusting relationships. Your strengths lie within your compassion and genuine desire to help others. You have the resilience and sensitivity to work with vulnerable women with complex needs and heightened emotions.
- Certificate III in Community Services is desirable
- Experience working with vulnerable people in residential settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work shifts across a 24-hour roster
- Drivers license
- First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
