DroneShield's Design Team is expanding and we are looking for an Industrial Designer with a strong concept and rendering skillset. In collaboration with the DroneShield Design Team you will work to develop product concepts, which you will then go on to create engaging in-situ renderings and other visual assets. You will also have the ability to work from concept through to production and take on whatever challenge the team requires.

The position will report to the Design Engineering Lead and represents a unique opportunity to design sophisticated leading-edge equipment and technology within the defence space. DroneShield has a strong foundation in Industrial Design with various industry-leading products performing with militaries and government agencies around the world.

**Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations**
- Conceptualize, develop, and refine new, forward-thinking products, keeping to the company’s established design language
- Develop and refine concepts for new products with input from various teams
- Present original design concepts and solutions through sketching, 3D modelling, rendering, and rapid prototyping
- Realistic product renderings with textures, lighting, and in-situation environments
- Liaise with stakeholders to manage project outcomes
- Action various tasks including product changes, development of new accessories and management of BoMs

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
- A degree in a relevant product/industrial design discipline or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience
- A portfolio showcasing your design process and presentation skills
- Expertise with product visualization and rendering (Keyshot preferred)
- Proficiency in Software tools - Solidworks, and Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
- Experience in complex surface modelling
- Strong conceptual and form-giving skills
- Strong ideation and sketching skills to clearly communicate your ideas
- An understanding of design for manufacture
- Photography and video editing skills is favourable
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deliver and meet deadlines
- Keep yourself up to date with the latest technologies, tools and methods to be effective in your role
- Previous experience working in Defence, medical, aerospace or consumer electronics is favourable
- Australian citizenship is preferred for Baseline and potential NV1 clearance
