**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Business Supervisor provides operational business, financial and administration support to the City Services Directorate within Council. You will have the opportunity to manage an Administration team and coordinate enquiries from internal and external customers to a high standard. This role will be responsible for assisting with corporate planning and reporting while utilising your high level analytical skills for budget preparation and analysis.
The successful applicant will require:
- Current NSW Class C driving license
- Relevant qualifications at certificate/diploma level in business, finance or administration.
- Demonstrated Supervisory skills
- Knowledge of service delivery processes, particularly within the City Services business of Local Government
- Demonstrated experience in business support services, preferably within Local Government.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing a superior customer experience.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills both written and verbal with a proven ability to establish effective internal and external relationships.
- Demonstrated skills in financial analysis and budgeting along with strong experience of financial administration including preparation of purchase requisitions/orders, work orders and invoice processing.
- High level computer skills particularly including word processing, report writing, database and spreadsheet creation and experience with document management software and systems.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to recommend and implement business improvement processes.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team or autonomously without immediate supervision.
- Good organizational skills including being able to manage own workload and ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to work productively as a member of a team and contribute to team goals

**Position information**: This is a permanent full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylands office, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 11 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,584.79 to $1,822.51 per week, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
