We are currently recruiting for multiple Caregivers/Personal Care Assistants to provide in-home care services for our clients. We provide personal care, domestic assistance (light cleaning and meal prep), transportation and companionship.

**How we are operating during COVID-19**

In-home support is an essential service and we are continuing to operate during COVID-19 with best-practice infection control and enhanced risk mitigation procedures.
We are actively recruiting additional support workers/caregivers during this time for existing and new clients with a range of care and support needs. We are experiencing increased demand and we have many care shifts available across Melbourne and surrounding areas. We are looking for exceptional support workers and/or personal care assistants to join our team

**A little about us**

Absolute Care & Health has provided in-home care, support and nursing services for nearly 10 years. We deliver services for people through the NDIS (disability support), My Aged Care (Home Care Packages), Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and After-Hospital Support Programs. We work across Metro Melbourne, Greater Geelong and the Mornington Peninsula.

**Details of the role**

**Type**:In-home care support
**Employment**:Casual & Perm Part Time
**Salary**:$32 per hour (Casual)
**Location**: Keysborough and surrounding areas

**Key duties**: Varied duties dependent on client requirements
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene and getting dressed
- Assisting clients with housekeeping or other daily errands
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Preparing food and feeding clients
- Transporting client to appointments
- Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities

**Essential for the role**:

- Minimum of Certificate 3 in Individual Support / Health Services Assistance / Aged Care / Home and Community Care

**Or **be a current Nursing student (should have completed Cert III equivalent placements)
**Or **be an overseas nurse or doctor
- Valid work rights in Australia
- Current and Clear National Police Check (within 12 months validity), (or be prepared to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or be prepared to obtain)
- Employee Working with Children Check (or be prepared to obtain)
- Full Covid Vaccination Comprehensive
- NDIS Clearance

**Highly Desirable**
- 1-2 years of support work or personal care experience
- Australian driver's license
- Insured car
- Hoisting experience
- Current manual handling certification
- Experience supporting people with autism
- Experience with non-verbal clients
- Experience with spinal cord injuries
