**Help us deliver like never before**
As our **Seasonal Casual Parcel Sorter**, you’ll be starting work as soon as Wednesday, November 29th
Working Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 6.51 am, you'll be responsible for sorting parcels in preparation for delivery, providing a vital service to our local community during our busiest time of the year.
**You’ll be**
- Sorting heavy parcels and mail (manually or machine-assisted) with the use of scanners
- Manually loading and unloading mail from mail bags, trays, containers and metal cages (Unit Loading Devices)
- Working across sophisticated processing equipment and lines
- Operating and using load shifting equipment such as hand pallet devices and stackers whilst cooperating with operations staff to get the mail into the facility
**About you**
- You’re available to attend a (paid) online induction on **Wednesday**, November 29th** from 10 am - 1 pm** and start on site, **Thursday, November 30th**.
- You can commit to working Sunday - Thursday, 11pm - 6.51 am until Christmas (this shift is not suitable for anyone who has a full time job due to safety).
- You enjoy a physical role, can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly, have a great memory and attention to detail
- You are safety conscious and able to safely operate equipment such as conveyors, loading/lifting devices including pallet jacks to load and unload parcels from trucks and vans
- You enjoy a fast paced environment where you can complete compliance checks
- You’re comfortable handling parcels that may contain meat and/or alcohol products
**How we’ll deliver for you**
- You'll be allocated a regular shift time, and work with a great bunch of people
- We pay $31.85 / hour (loaded rate for an adult 21 and over, junior rates apply) + a 30% penalty rate (on the unloaded rate)
- You'll benefit from a 12% superannuation rate
- We may have opportunities for ongoing work beyond the peak season
