**Job Description**:
The Position

The Lead Planner reports to the Project Controls Manager - Planning and Scheduling and is responsible for delivering Planning and Scheduling activities assigned to construction work packages on the Kemerton Expansion Project (KEP).

As part of the Planning and Scheduling team the role ensures the effective and timely execution of construction schedules throughout Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning.

Whilst the role is based in Perth, a regular presence at Kemerton to support and build relationships with key stakeholders and validate work progress is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Support Albemarle’s Kemerton Expansion Project (KEP) in the execution of overall planning, scheduling and general project control duties.
- Use Primavera P6 and Acumen Fuse for the preparation, maintenance and evaluation of the KEP Master Schedule and Contractor Schedules.
- Analysis of emerging trends and evaluation against control baselines in Contractor Schedules.
- Liaise with Contractors and manage Contractor scheduling requirements as per construction package contracts.
- Provide scheduling guidance, analysis and reports to KEP construction team.
- Update consolidated KEP Master Schedule to reflect contractor package progress.
- Provide corporate reporting on schedule progress.
- Perform accurate and timely management of Change Control (Scope Changes and Trends).
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Contractor Project Controls and Project Management teams.
- Overarching focus on Functional Excellence.

Work Experience / Technical Skill Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in planning and scheduling on large capital projects ($150M+).
- Experience in all aspects of planning & scheduling during detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of a large capital project.
- Must have extensive experience using Primavera in a construction environment.
- Thorough understanding of engineering and construction productivity measurements.
- Able to work both independently with mínimal direction and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent reporting and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization to influence and achieve desired results.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to understand technical information and clearly communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organization skills, with an ability to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in project controls tools and work processes: Earned Value, MS Office (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, graphics) and Project Controls software (Primavera, etc.).

Education / Qualification Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management or related field.
- Formal Primavera Training.
