( otherwise it might rustle up a whole lot of interest, but not necessarily with the right type of applicant) It's not for everyone. A key role in your professional journey. A road slightly less travelled, and therefore, the one which makes all the difference. This applies whether you're at the beginning or nearing the conclusion of your Diesel Fitting days. So far, this has been a very deep and meaningful chit chat for a job advert for a Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter So let's cut to the nitty gritty of why it's not for everyone: - Firstly, there's a 4 weeks on, and 2 off roster. - Remote location. Isolated. A long way from anywhere. You'll need to be able to cope with the heat and humidity of the Tropics / South Pacific island. You'll need to contend with the elements, and the isolation. - Because of the remoteness, and transit times, you'll need to be technically proficient. You know, actually good at the practical magic of Diesel Fitting. You'll need to be forward thinking and good at diagnostics/ maintenance / repairs. - It's essential you're level-headed, reliable and consistent in your behaviour. Ideally you're the kind of person who can be counted on to always strive to do your best work. - Must play well with others The work is in a remote isolated environment. You cannot take your bat and ball and go home ,without significant planning. The Reward? - Feel good factor - a real sense of accomplishment knowing your individual efforts make a contribution toward capacity building in developing nations, Oh and money is REALLY GOOD I look forward to speaking with you - soon
