Health Capital Division (HCD) delivers an end-to-end capital infrastructure process. This includes all capital planning, business cases, construction and maintenance programs and managing these through government processes for Queensland Health in partnership with Hospital and Health Services.
**The role**
As the Principal Advisor, you will be responsible for providing client focused outcomes through the successful coordination of capital health infrastructure projects and activities. You will be required to implement best practice project methodology. You will provide secretariat support to the Infrastructure Leadership forum and taskforces.
In this role, you will collaborate with a highly skilled team to develop and manage project plans, budgets, risk frameworks and best practice guidelines to ensure that projects and the overall program run to scope, meeting key milestones in a time effective manner, to the highest quality of execution.
Drawing upon your effective professional interpersonal skills, you will leverage internal and external relationships to liaise, negotiate and consult with key stakeholders across projects. You will place quality and risk mitigation at the forefront and will champion this, leading by example. Furthermore, you will maintain records, prepare reports, and enhance business processes to ensure compliance and efficiencies across the projects.
**The successful person**
To be successful in the role, you will have a demonstrated ability to work in an agile environment as part of a cohesive team and with mínimal supervision. You will have gained experience across a range of projects, with proven understanding of the fundamentals required for successful project delivery, from conceptualisation to completion.
You will be a critical thinker; outcome focused and possess a commercial acumen that will navigate budget restraints and project roadblocks. Your well-developed negotiation and interpersonal skills will be critical to build and maintain business relationships and partnerships through collaboration and consultation.

You will enjoy working within a harmonious team, w h ere communication flows freely and you actively engage across the system. You’ll have strong written communication skills and will proactively maintain records and prepare relevant detailed reports and relevant project documentation or correspondence.
Whilst not mandatory a strong understanding of Government frameworks would be highly regarded.
