**Youth Care Coordinator**:

**The Youth Care Coordinator role**:

- Conducts psychosocial assessments and screening of young people referred to headspace
- Engages with headspace clients to ensure ongoing service engagement
- Collaborates within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the ongoing success of the centre
- Advocates on behalf of young people whose care needs are being coordinated by headspace
- Assists with community capacity building, community awareness, and education and training activities
- Qualifications in psychology; social work; occupational therapy; nursing; drug and alcohol work; youth work; mental health, or related field
- Proven ability to undertake clinical assessments of young people experiencing mental health or drug and alcohol problems
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people
- Good working knowledge of computer technology and experience using clinical software packages
