Job Description Summary
The Construction Supervisor will contribute to the project through supervising Construction Projects across multiple work types and clients, reporting into the Regional Manager but working directly with the Regional Construction Manager is the end to end management and delivery of works.
The project delivery model comprises of both subcontractor and internal workers.
Provide leadership by safely managing performance of people, projects, and processes. This includes primary responsibility for planning, execution and closing activities necessary to successfully Build, Maintain and Decommission Optus Network, Uecomm Networks and Power Utility safely. Support other internal work stream. To ensure adherence to best practices project management principles.
Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis.

- Ensure compliance to the contract’s safety by participating in regular audits and reviews of the system.
- Lead, coach and mentor Field Workforce to deliver in accordance to the project plan.
- Support your manager in finding solutions for complex problems and in implementing effective solutions through groups and teams.
- Develop constructive and mutually beneficial relationships with the Client, Contractors and team members
- Act as the “point of contact” between your Manager and the Field Workforce to ensure mínimal disruption to both operations and construction activities
- Determine required resources to manage project tasks including selection and appointment of resources and development of cohesive project teams
- Management of site activities necessary to attain project scope
- Manage and owner of site documents including but not limited to risk register, change register, variations register
- Determine required resources to manage project tasks including required contractor resources
- Day to day management of the construction site on behalf of Service Stream Services
- Manage statutory obligations to ensure compliance
- Optimise the utilisation of existing business systems, processes, practices and equipment to ensure sustainable, efficient and effective outcomes

- Responsible for ensuring that everyone that undertakes work for a project has the correct training and has valid licences.
- Supporting the works management system to ensure all maintenance activities are completed.
- Ensure all KPIs and contract performance requirements are met.
- Conduct toolbox meetings; communicate policies, procedures and practices to work teams.
- Assist in the development and review of SWMS.
- Ensure all required management systems documentation is adhered to.
- Manage the asset data for the site in the relevant Work Order Management System ensuring it is kept up to date.
- Ensure all recoverable and chargeable costs on damaged assets are entered in the management system.
- Ensure accuracy of data in the work order Management System.
- Asset management awareness and maintenance and repair methodologies.
- Ensure all work is completed to required specifications, standards and within required time frames.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with the key stakeholders.
- Understand the project vision and ensure it is delivered within project timeframes.
- Promote open and transparent communication as appropriate to encourage understanding of all stakeholder requirements and drivers.
- Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Maintain open and proactive communications with client liaising with the client regarding operational activities
- Maintain spending within limits of authority and maintain costs within budget requirements
- Supervision of site construction works to ensure its delivery in a timely and safe manner.
- Coordination of actual site start up (i.e. mandatory pre-start activities) including delivery materials (e.g. FIM) in coordination with
